Fort Steilacoom 2012
The 2012 edition of the Fort Steilacoom Invitational will be held on September 15. Although the meet is early in the season, the competition is tough and the times are fast. The meet has featured several of the top athletes in the state over the past several years. The course is also the site of the league championships for the South Puget Sound League (2A, 3A, 4A), Nisqually League, and Narrows League (3A, 4A).
Meet Information
The meet typically features from 50-60 teams. Awards go to the top 5 schools in both large and small school divisions. Individual awards are 20 deep in varsity races and 10 deep for the junior varsity races. There is also an open race and a youth race for middle school and below. Parents may run with their children.
Coaches Hospitality
Coffee, juice, doughnuts and bagels are provided for coaches in the morning. Pizza, water, and pop will be provided at "lunchtime."
Event Merchandise
Brooks technical running shirts as well as regular t shirts will be sold. Both Brooks and South Sound Running will be on site as well. We will have replacement spikes available as well as some selected "special event deals" on other Brooks merchandise. Concessions will be available.
